Ode to Oggie
There
are all kinds of dogs, we rightly surmise
The barkers, the cuddlers, the quiet and wise..
When all's said and done, the big picture
ain't foggy
Few hold
a candle to wonderful Oggie.
Oggie would brighten the darkest of days,
With his soft brown eyes and empathic ways.
He made giving a habit, and kissing
an art
In
the doggie profession of which he was part.
Today is a day of more memories than most
As the bench is installed and we give Oggie a toast
For when it comes to doggies, among
all the rest
As
a friend..and as family..he was one of the best.
With lots of love, Diane
